How does that compare with, say, Harley Street clinics, or, say, a BUPA
hospital? -- John the West Ham fan " wrote in message ... Yes? Well check in to an NHS hospital. http://s19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...l%20rip%20off/ Bill |

This is a well known money making scam. In the old days they used to fleece
you for phone calls as well, they now only fleece the folk ringing in to the bedside phone. One hospital in the west country charges 32 pence a minute when anyone calls the phones. And don't ask about the internet terminals in the rooms.. Brian -- Brian Gaff - Note:- In order to reduce spam, any email without 'Brian Gaff' in the display name may be lost. You have to pay up front the duration for which you would have to guesstimate. My son had a bike accident at Cadwell Park a few years ago and ended up in Grimsby Hospital. This was before mobiles were permitted so I loaded his bedside unit with £20, of which in his stay he used just over £8. I tried and I tried and I tried to get a refund of the balance (less a small 'service charge') which you are supposed to be able to do, but in the end gave up. It is not helped by the fact that the only way you can contact the organisation - I won't give the name but it began with P and ended with line - is from the bedside phone. Thus if you ask for the refund when you are leaving and they don't pay up it is almost impossible to contact them thereafter to chase it. Doh! -- Woody harrogate three at ntlworld dot com |

They provide pretty much the same as you describe above, plus a few more Sky channels, various ethnic channels, and in-house info channels. If you had a laptop with you, there's plenty else to do. |
