There are reports that they were last spotted on the back of a truck
heading to either Moldova or Trans-Dniester.

As they were secured with strong rope, they may have been kidnapped.

No its the daft as a bat logic in Outlook express which seems to let me see
messages older than today, but insists the only way to see todays on this
group is to hit catch up. As I've not actually seen the messages but have
seen the older ones its showing me, I'm a trifle confused. In fact two
groups refuse to show me any of the messages in them except those sent since
an hour ago no matter what I do unless I empty the folder, reset the headers
and download them all again, however if I then switch folders and come back
I'm in the same position as before.

Weird.

May be what programmers tend to dismiss as "user error"... although the
user's main error may be deciding to use MicroSoft software in the first
place. Lowest Common Denominator software. :-)

It's an old saying, but OE is worth exactly what you paid for it. :-)

There's also a saying about a worker and his tools, but in this case
I'll blame it on OE. There is probably a setting somewhere that needs
tweaking. Where it is I can't say because I haven't used it for about
ten years.

Chuckle, well, the problem is now fixed by carefully selecting all messages,
in all folders one can plainly see, well hear in my case, that apparent
random messages are hidden as they are marked as read. The ones where no
messages show are all marked. This has to be some oddity of OE, as otherwise
I'd have noticed it occuring.

I don't know of any accessible email clients that cost money so I cannot
possibly comment on it being worth what i paid for it. Suffice to say, that
untill recently, to access windows at all if you are blind has cost well
over 600 pounds.
