It doesn't have subtitles for the deaf, so we continue to watch
Emmerdale in SD rather than upscaled SD.

i have noticed a lack of comment on ITV HD .

They are using the DOG all the time. That cannot be right.

No, it's misleading in my opinion, only serves to add to the public's already
substantial confusion over HD.

C4 HD only show an HD DOG during native HD broadcasts, although of course why
anybody needs to show a DOG at all is a mystery ;-)

Men and Motors has ceased to exist and has been replaced by a full time
ITV HD channel which simulcast everything on ITV1 to HD or upscaled SD.

ITV HD channel which simulcast everything on ITV1 to HD or upscaled SD.

So seems it might be an idea to continually watch 119, ok point on DOG

Just a thought I suppose this will give only one regions local news program
and adverts. , London?
Does the press red button still happen on 103 ? I will try of course to
check on one of the few HD programs they do.
I will check how SD programs compare, my Freesat TV does make SD programs
better anyway, so will be interesting how it handles an already upscaled
transmission.

The Freesat Web site program list still says Press Red Button.

Do you read this group, or only post? This is a permanent arrangement
which started on April 2nd. At the same time ITV1 HD was added to the
sky epg. More than one thread mentioned this.

119 is not in the Freesat channel list or EPG for postcodes in the UTV
region (Northern Ireland) and presumably not in Scotland either.

Here in UTV-land we would still need to select ITV1 London (ch 977) and
use the red button.

I haven't tried it since 119 was introduced in ITV Plc regions.
