Nothing will change unless people actually complain. If everyone that
didn't like them complained to the stations as well as congress, then
maybe some progress could be made.
Silence only makes it worse. Just write to the advertizers and tell
them that they will not buy their products advertized on certain
channels and tell them why. Send a carbon copy to the stations. Tell
the congress that you will not vote for them unless changes are made.
Hit them in the pocket book and keep writting and complaining. If
you do nothing, then you have nothing to complain about. I personally
have called long distance to many networks and complained.
BTW, the wb is one of the worst. mes.

Threatening Congress persons with a no vote won't work. There
are too many voters making voting decision along party lines.

You can't do more than avoid watching channels you believe
are using bright logos. They aren't going away.

| Oh, not during the ads, of course. But hey! Screw the viewer, what do he

| The most annoying thing on cable is that steel sword swooshing clang as

| I stopped watching Fox news because of that.

I suggest you tune back in for a while. Why? To note who advertises on
these channels. Then call up those companies and explain your displeasure
with their "support" for that practice by continuing their advertising.
Ask your friends and trick your enemies into doing the same thing. Maybe
the word will get to the network through the people where it counts, the
sales department.

Ah, but that's what I love about 'em :-).

1. Record the program on your trusty DVR.

2. When a commercial starts, fast forward at highest possible speed
with tunnel vision focused on the bottom corner of the screen.

3. When the logo re-appears, hit the button to rewind a bit, then hit
play, and you've just skipped all the commercials without seeing
any of them at all since you were focused on the bottom corner
of the screen.

Of course the whole thing will be ruined when the networks start
selling the bottom corner of the screen where they can show ads
designed to be watched at 70X normal speed :-).

Hello? With my Motorola DVR you don't need to fast-forward through
commercials. The skip button moves 30 seconds forward -- four clicks
gets you through two minutes of commmercials. With some breaks it takes
at least six clicks.

I've seen some 5 minute long breaks in some programming. These are usually
syndicated movies.
