How Do I Remove SkyWare Quad LNB

Hi all

I have been given a dish with a quad LNB and want to use it to replace my
single.
How do I remove the LNB?
The arm is rectangular in section and there are no pins through it (sites I
have seen on this subject seem to suggest that there should be a securing
pin through the arm).
Is the LNB mount simply pushed into the end of the support arm?

TIA

Phil

yes, mine is. well there was a pin but I did not bother with it cos the
insert was tight. Give it a good pull.

Oh sorry. I misread that. It's the LNB you want, not the dish! Rather
than swapping LNBs why not use the dish that has the quad on it?

Maybe he already has another dish fixed in place and correctly aligned.

The dish is in a worse state than mine and is mast mounted rather than wall
mounted.
It has also been removed rather roughly so the mounty bit is bent.

Cos the existing LNB is single output and tends to go "flakey" in hot
weather.

You are aware I hope that it's not a good idea to put an LNB from a
Sky-type minidish (wider than tall) into a 'conventional' offset dish
(slightly taller than wide). The LNBs may look similar on the
outside, but internally the feeds are a different shape, matched to
the shape of the dish.

See http://www.satcure.co.uk/tech/lnb.htm

Thanks Java
The dish shape I have been given is the same as the one I have already, so
I'm hoping it will be a straight LNB swap.
