If they were not heavily subsidising the system then I would have a
strong case I feel, as they are only upping the rent by £ 1 a month
over 12 months

sorry typo that should read £ 1 a week over 52 weeks.

So if they charged another 10p per week that would cover their costs and
that's not going to break anyone.

My estate is OK only three stories and there is only approx 80 homes,
its the high rise blocks that I am thinking about I guess they would
have to erect some sort of platform in order that the crew have access..

There's no need for you to concern yourself. Either an internal cable
route will be found or a nice big cherry picker will be used.

I guess when I heard that they were planning a new IRS system I became
concerned and immediately thought of the work involved and the cost, I
guess there is no cheap way to upgrade, convert, replace (or whatever
you want to call it) an SMATV system with an IRS system and its a major
task. From this letterhttp://user.itl.net/~nlel/digitaltv.JPGyou might
not grasp what is involved

What! They aren't doing Sky+? They must be mad. The tenant will just
out their own dishes up. They need to face reality.

Yes, as I said, you don't want to fight it. You've decided in advance
that
you'd lose without even trying, so that's it, game over! You've wasted
many months already that you could have spent organising the other
residents into a unified protest.

I am sure a lot of my neighbours smoke pot all day and could not give a
toss either way or are just too dumb to understand the implications
and/or have more important things to think about such as money, kids etc
sure there would be some more technical minded who might wish to have
two feeds also but its a case of getting them all together... at the
moment I am one voice what do you suggest I do drop a note into every
letterbox on my estate and then its only my estate... there are a number
of estates affected.

Well, you've dropped A HUNDRED AND FOUR different 'notes' on this
subject into OUR 'letterbox' over the past few months - I would have
thought that dropping ONE note through 4,000 letterboxes within easy
reach would be well within you capabilities ...
