Maybe but ye can't ignore the fact that FM reaches so many places more than DAB with existing readily analogue equipment. Until ye can walk, say, from the kitchen to the car, and listen to the same morning radio program without spending an arm and a leg on electronics, I don't think there is going to great a loyalty of listeners for radio stations not similcasting on FM. Which makes 'internet' radio a total waste of money too, then? Nope, far more of a reach. Worldwide audience for broadcasters, Accessible equipment, easier installation, better quality. Could also work in a car, but I'm pushing that one a bit. Mobile Broadband-enabled car radio anyone? Yes, the BBC could have made the content of the Asian network as stuffy and patronising as Radio 4. And lost share to commercial stations who broadcast information on where and how to spend money - Some folks around here certainly have plenty of it! Presumably they want to listen to the advert breaks, and the nonsense directed to them from murdoch. Dunno, my tastes in Asian culture lie elsewhere ... (the restaurant) -- Adrian C |
