Audio Bit Rate: 64 Kbps
Audio Sampling Rate: 48000 Hz

Any idea why they are using such a low bitrate (mono?).

Sounds like a fall back fault. One can surely hear this as you can on those
terrible dab channels.

Still 64kbps here, contacted 4 about this and all i got was reply saying my
comments had been passed to engineering dept., probably meaning filed in the
bin.

You're not looking at the audio description stream, are you?

No, this is the bitrate that is being broadcast it seems to be a
wenvoe/kilvey related problem, there is a post on digital spy forum saying
same.
