DTI1000 lost Ch5 on 30 Sept

A friend with an old Thomson DTI1000 Freeview box retuned it on 30
September (or shortly thereafter) and lost channel 5. I thought at
first it might be a prob with that model, as it's so old, but a web
search didn't turn anything up. Any suggestions?

So what's on where Channel 5 should be? Try deleting it and rescanning.

I think there was an update for these old models last week (my neighbours
FDT500 received one). This might have helped - are you sure Ch5 isn't
somewhere in the 800s? Also, are you sure you should still be able to
receive Ch5 after the reshuffle?

Re-tuning is not enough. I am not familiar with your box, but on mine I
had to reset the box to its factory settings. This deleted all channels
and then retuned from scratch. Then I had to redo any customised
settings such as aspect ratio.

Don't know what went wrong the first time but a simple rescan fixed
it. Thanks for the replies.
