Feck!! New Pan HDTV has developed line of stuck pixels!! Fixable?

I bought a 32" Pan LCD 1080p TV set from NewEgg abt 2
weeks ago

Today I turned it on and noticed a very thin "line"
down far right side!

Anyway to fix myself.... or am I stuck sending it back
to NewEgg?

Is the line there on every channel, or a different input like DVD? You
might have the TV set on "Just Scan", which might show some lines or
dashes on the edge of the screen, which is normal. Try setting the
ratio to 16:9 and see if it goes away.

If the line is there only on material that is about 50% luminance or
less, that is a common problem with LCD displays. I am told that
there is no cure. Few people notice it, probably because it doesn't
show up in the bright areas of the picture.

If you send it back your replacement set may exhibit it too.

Seems to be present on ALL programs and stations

I may have misundeerstood your problem. My problem is on a 42"
screen. The line is vertical. It is aboiut three inches from the
bezel on the right side. You really have to look to see it, but it is
definitely there.

Same problem here except the line was closer to right
bezel

I have been told that nothing can help. At least it is not getting
worse. It has stayed the same for a couple of months now [frantically
knocks on wood].

Luckily mine happened within the 30 day return time
frame that New Egg allows

I did consider calling New Egg up and asking if they
would knock off $200 if I kept the TV as is... but I
never did

The line itself was very very far right..... and I
could have "lived" with it.... but not at "new" price.

All the better reason to not buy a name brand TV and pay a premium for
it. My 2 1/2 year old 27" Olevia developed a problem that was going to
cost more than $150 to get fixed. When I bought it, it cost $399 on sale.
A premium model was twice as much. I went out and bought a newer bigger
32" replacement for $299 on sale. So now I have a faster technology
larger TV with warranty for the total price of $698 minus the $30 I sold
the remote for (gave TV to someone that thought they could fix it) for a
total of $668. Still less than if I'd had bought a name brand of this
size and speed (5ms) back then. And I've never liked Panasonic ever since
I bought one of their mini 8 camcorders a long time ago (80's). Paid
about $1500 for it and it crapped out not long after the warranty was up.
I'm sorry, but I think the sports players make more than enough money
without me paying them through product endorsements.
