Don't forget that, at about that time, in the UK we were experimenting with 30-line transmissions on the MW, using TV signals recorded on shellac records. And didn't they also do some transatlantic test on SW? I seem to remember that there was a tv club of this type and it made a Babani publication with pictures of channels from around the world on successful UK tunings. Sorry, should have added - this was much later of course, probably around the early 70s. |
