website to promote National Mass Retuning Day
Digital UK are now operating a web site to promote the activities of
the National Mass Retuning Day (NMRD). http://www.tvretune.co.UK/ I do not understand why the web site is saying that an antenna upgrade may be required for the NMRD event when various postal codes are entered to specify various locations which are currently in very strong DVB-t signal areas. |

The reception predictor is now so accurate , it needs your house number, I_don't_think_so. I get enough junk mail thank you very much. Even postcodes a couple of miles from Winter Hill (C/D group not changing) are flagged as aerial upgrade may be required. Who sponsors this site, the CAI? -- Graham. %Profound_observation% |

"Alternatively, if you think you may need to replace your aerial due to its age or condition, do not attempt to adjust it yourself. Look for an installer with the digital tick logo - this means they have been trained and security checked. Only Registered Digital Installers (RDIs) are permitted to use the digital tick logo. Ask for their photo ID card and membership number." Perhaps "Registered Digital Installers" need to pay Digital UK Ltd. to become registered? So in return they will push new installations their way. If so then yes, the site is effectively paid for by installers if not the CAI. Z |

Hang on..
This is silly surely? The time when a change of aerial might be needed is on switch over day in that area, when they may have to move the multiplexes, not when all they are doing is cutting adrift all the channels who won't pay up to be included on relays of the main station? cynic mode off. Oh dear, that means according to Digital UK Ltd., you haven't been "trained and security checked" and worse still, you can't use the "Digital Tick"! ;-) Alternatively, it means you don't get involved in racketeering and so are more trustworthy, but wait a minute, what's this 'Constructionline' logo on your website?
