Advice on a booster

I recently installed Win7 RTM and after configuring the TV I can no
longer watch ITV Meridian, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4 because the picture breaks
up and pixelates (sp). None of these channels did this under Vista and
every other channel is perfect. Trying to watch ITV4 last night a
message appeared telling me that the signal wasn't strong enough so can
someone recommend a booster I can use? I can add one in the loft, on the
wall outlet or behind the PC but I don't know what to look for or which
make/model works. Google has many to choose from so I'm a bit lost as to
which would suit my needs.

regards

What is "The TV" you refer to?
a PCI card in your computer?
a USB DTT stick
a PC monitor with DTT capability?
something else?

Wow, so there is a good reason for installing Windoze 7 then...

You changed the operating system and now you need a 'booster'? Are you
female? How do you know the problem is lack of signal?

How on earth can a new bit of software make a difference to the received
signal?

Sounds to me like just maybe the software for the tuner has not decided to
work right under windows 7. Could be many things, I'd be contacting whoever
makes the rtuner card or stick and asking this question there.

Maybe they've installed a different driver that isn't controlling the
hardware properly, it won't be Windows 7 itself.

Even if it is, the final version of W7 may not behave in all respects exactly
the same as the trial versions.

Don't say that, you'll frighten him /her away, and the problem
interests me.
I am thinking maybe the new OS has changed the energy
distribution of the processors radiated hash.
Is that remotely possible?

He said he had RTM which is the "final" version (apart from all the
updates).

It's most likely that his hardware needs new software drivers from the
maker.

Anyone who installs a new MS operating system as soon as it's released
is opening a can of worms.
