Would either of these cables be ok?
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CAPF100W.html

Yes, but pricey.

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/22591/...3YC4CSTHZOCFEY

Yes, but pricey.

I'd be inclined to visit a local aerial wholesaler and ask for 100m of any
CAI approved cable. Expect to pay £17 to £20 plus tax.

Also, I assume that the TV points on the wall need to be terminated in a
coaxial socket rather than f-type on (e.g.
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Elec...sd2633/p65086).
Is there anything to consider when choosing those?

It's difficult, this. Don't get the ones made on a really flexible platic
plate. Don't get the ones that have a largish PCB on the back with a lot of
wierd shapes. Get something with the most simple straigtforward
connections -- a saddle clamp and a terminal screw. It doesn't matter
whether they're isolated or not. We use Taylor ones but they are hard to get
in small qtys. I suggest you get Antiference or Blake ones from CPC. It's
probably best to use Belling types, even though fs are technically better.
Screening isn't really that important for outlets, but small tidy
connections are, and don't kink the cable in the backbox if you help it.

I take it you decided not to follow Mr Conor's advice and install three huge
high gain aerials then?

I would guess he's been 'away' for some years for his misbehaviour and has
recently been let out.

I've not been "away" at all.

He'll hopefully be going 'away' again soon for his illegal, libelous and
defamatory activities.

Works both ways..

He's certainly another clueless troll and worthy of killfiling.

Whatever you do people, don't have anything to do with:

What was that about libellous and defamatory activities?

Ok, now I'll be serious. Firstly, ignore everything said by Mr Conor.
His advice is worse than useless. I don't know what motivates him, but
everything he says is wrong. Would anyone like to support me in this?

That has been obvious for years. I hope he knows more about laptops or he'll
have a lot of ****ed off customers, which judging by his posts is likely.

I did wonder about mentioning this, but the be honest it all gets
too problematical when the bloke isn't using any sort of meter. My
own technique
BTW is to use either a 9B or a 16dB Proception amp plus a two,
three, or four way split (with DC pass). Why? Because I like to
overcomplicate things to look impressive and rip off the customer.

Fixed your post for you.

Just for the sake of clarity I should point out that Mr Conor has
edited and added to my post. Since the result of this deception is
defamatory and could adversely affect my business I can't just ignore
it.

In Iran you'd be publicly whipped for disrespecting an elder

Perhaps there's something to Sharia law after all?

In my opinion he's probably flogging knocked off and/or secondhand
laptops
and stuff as new to the unsuspecting punter.

You will of course have evidence to back up your statement that these
laptops are stolen and that I sell them as new?
Conor

He doesn't need to, it's for you to now sue him for libel

Let us know when the court case is, i'll bring a flask and sandwiches

F-types seem to be a bit less of a lottery when comes to mating,
ordinary TV plugs seem to be rather variable in their quality if you
can't find any with one of the usual brands on them.

Yes, there are some dreadful products on the market. Some don't even seem to
have the correct diameter outer connector.

The body of a standard coax plug has a mating surface 9.5mm in diameter
but there is another variant, used only/mainly in France IIRC which has
is only 9mm in diameter.

I'm sure I've seen these on some of Taylor's range in the past, with an
additional sleeve over the body to make up the 0.5mm difference. There
is a warning label telling you NOT to remove it!
