Samsung seems to be making the best LCDs these days. Any of the ----Axyz
lines where x4 all rate highly. You may want to look for one with 120 Hz
refresh (x=6 or higher). BTW, 37" will be OK for a bedroom but if this is
your main set for the living room or family room, go for something larger.
You won't regret it!

Your 'refresh' term should've been 'frame rate'. Flat panels don't have
a refresh function, it's frame rate.

They have both. The refresh rate says how many times a particular frame
is displayed on the screen. When the image is refreshed more often
(higher Hz value) the images appear smoother, especially fast moving
images. You may have 24 frames per second on the screen and at a 120Hz
refresh each frame is drawn 5 times. When we get the 240Hz refresh
panels each frame will be drawn 10 times.

Well ONE nice thing about 120 Hz no need for 3:2 judder but how will a
240 Hz refresh improve beyond that?

I can't imagine it would. But, 120Hz is great, so 240Hz is twice as
great, no? :)

Well, it would cost more. Curtis Mathes used to sell 'the most
expensive set in America, and darned well worth it' - it had a long
service contract buried into the price of a mediocre set. Some people
got snookered into it. Perhaps with exotic gaming computers 240 Hz
screens could be of some value.
