That's what I'm trying to determine I did see where Samsung makes a combo TV/display with high resolution but the smallest is 26" I think The Samsung T240HD 24" is available at 1920x1080 but it doesn't pop up on their website under LCD televisions; Vizio, a smaller player in the market, has a 22" and 24" in that resolution. * For TV, the Vizio (I have one of the slightly older model, 1680x1050) has one major problem; it cannot ADD digital channels and rescanning erases the "skip" list. *I'm told that Samsung has that issue correct. Costco sells (or did last month) this unit. *It's beautiful there. The internet says it has poor sound from its internal speakers, likely from its monitor heritage. Thanks for the info, sir. |

Given the use as a computer monitor wouldn't I want a
1080p set as well to get the best use as computer monitor? What resolution do you currently use on your monitor, and what can your video card supply? If your computer is newer, you probably do want an 1920x1080 monitor. Be warned, some TVs do not support full resolution through the VGA connector. To be sure you get full resolution, count using a PC video card with an HDMI output. If this isn't available, check the TV manual before you buy for the maximum supported PC resolution. |

I have both (T240HD and the T260HD) and they suit my needs perfectly. Samsung also sells the T200HD and T220HD which are the same except with a 1680x1050 resolution. Any one of them would likely make you perfectly happy. AlanL |

The 22" Vizio I bought last month has an "Add On Ch Search", which I used several times after rotating the antenna. Good: With the backlight off, it draws only 27W. Bad: INFO shows only the current program. The zoom, PIP etc functions on the remote are "not available". jw |

VERRRRRY little difference on a 50", less on 22" or 24" ... but I PERSONALLY very much prefer 1920x1200 over 1680x1050 for a computer monitor. AND some graphics cards (my Dell, for example) don't offer the 1680x1050; a friend used 1280x1024 and it stretches it out ... I don't like it, he does. It is a matter of taste and computer capabilities. |

I found the opposite, the diffence in tv progs (HD) was much more pronounced on my 22" set as opposed to my 42" and yet my 22" is only 720p and the 42" is 1080p.....work that out!....very strange. |
