Mast through tile?
I have seen one or two these in the USA but not in the UK. A friend has a
requirement for a small mast exiting vertically through a tile. Access from above and below is quite easy. Can anyone suggest a supplier and give any tips on the installation? In particular the question adequate weatherproofing is obviously of considerable importance. Answers from those with practical experience would be most welcome. TIA. Peter Crosland |

See if you've got an aerial wholesaler nearby (Eurosat / Alltrade) and just walk in there with some cash. Should be about £25 - £30 |

I bought two last week, and there was no comment about them being discontinued. Peter Crosland Brymar do one on this page http://www.brymar.co.uk/acatalog/TV_...Plates_16.html but its a bit pricey !! Everything on that site is a bit pricey. 50p for an 'f' plug? 'f' line connectors at 99p! Bloody hell! They are advertising a loft mount as suitable for soffit mounting. Funnily enough I have just received a picture of a high gain aerial mounted on one of these. The mount has failed and the aerial has fallen. Possibly the aerial was too heavy for the mount. I wouldn't use one of these mounts outdoors though, no matter how light the load. Bill |
