Humax PVR 9200 - Series Link problem with Paul Merton in India?
On our Humax PVR 9200, I set the EPG to record the 'whole series' of Paul
Merton in India on Channel 5. This is shown on Wednesday evenings with a repeat of each episode the following Monday on the same channel. I find the Humax is recording the repeats as well as the original programmes so I end up with 2 copies of each programme. Although this isn't a particular problem in itself, I don't recall it happening before although I'm sure I have sometime recorded programmes with a repeat during the week. Is there any way round it, or does it depend on how the broadcaster sets up the series link? V |

Get a Topfield 5800 and use the MyStuff TAP, you get complete control of what is recorded. -- Andrew, contact via http://interpleb.googlepages.com Help make Usenet a better place: English is read downwards, please don't top post. The two broadcasts you have mentioned plus the repeat on Sundays on Five
Life all have the same series and episode CRIDs. It seems strange that your PVR can't recognise that it has already 'got' the episode and insists on recording the repeat. Other channels do it differently; each set of repeats is regarded as a series in its own right. But presumably this will be properly defined in the standard, won't it? Does anyone know if Humax or Five are the non-compliant ones? SteveT |
