A single LNB is OK for the current crop of Freesat boxes SD and HD. A
dual will be required for any PVR, which may not be available until next
year. A quad may easier or cheaper to source than a dual. You may want
to fit a quad if you are having boxes in more than one room.

If you are thinking of buying a Freesat HD branded box be aware that the
Humax box has got serious lip sync problems on some HD broadcasts
(mainly when the audio track is in Digital Dolby 5.1 surround sound).
Bush, Goodmans and Grundig are all part of the Alba group and the their
SD boxes have the same electronics despite having different prices.


It is reported elsewhere that Humax will be releasing a fix for their
lip sync problem within the next three weeks.

regional channels on Freesat and the Freesat PVR should be available in
the shops now.

It wasn't reported by the website - it was provided by someone

Humax are slow to put info on their site - info about the last software
update only appeared on their website a week or so AFTER the event.

Incidentally, the Freesat regional channels problem has been fixed.
Ditto the FoxSat "soft picture" issue.
