LOST digital signal problems

It appears that ABC's digital signal in Detroit had problems last
night. I was only able to DVR 23 minutes, mostly at the end, and the
signal kept breaking on a very exciting episode. There is one more
report of a yet to be determined location, and one from Portland, OR.
Newe Hampshire seemed fine, if that poster was referring to digital
and not analog.

Any explanation?

One possible, I'm the person in Portland and I'm on Comcast cable and
they have been caught compressing their HD streams so that they can
fit 3 HD channels in the bandwidth normally used by 2.

? Is it possible you are using a Motorola HD Catv Box on Comcast Service,
connected to your set via either HDMI or Component?
If so have Comcast deliver another box, preferable one with the latest
software updates already installed. Been a whole lot of problems generated
by these items recently, most referring to HDMI connection related problems
and signal breakup.

Mind you, I am OTA digital signal. Garondo over on rec.arts.tv was the
other one who noticed problems. For me, it was my DVR and TV, which
use separate antennas.

Cable is connected directly to the TV and tuned by the television.

Set in question:

More info: Garondo Marondo first claimed the problem outside of Philly.
