can capture a snapshot for Blu-Ray disc?

For about $750 we can get a Dell computer with Blu Ray drive and show
it as 1920 x 1080 on the computer screen. So I wonder is it possible
to capture a snapshot and send to your friends to let them know how
spectacular it can be?

I got such a computer and it is PowerDVD DX that came with the
system... and it doesn't have a capture function. Previous, I had a
PowerDVD (or WinDVD) program that can capture a snapshot for DVDs...
Pressing PrtScn key won't work as the image is on the video
overlay... even if i show another video clip first, and then show the
Blu Ray disc, the Blu Ray is still shown on the overlay.... (in the
old days, the first video would have occupied the overlay and made the
second video use bitmap rendering).

any solution? Thanks for your help!

I don't really know what you are talking about but when I want a screen
capture, I push PrtSc and then open up a wordpad file and paste it to
that. When you save the wordpad file, it is a bitmap. I don't like
bitmap files because the ammount of disk space they take is rediculous.
A simple wordpad.doc with nothing but text take about 6 megabytes. Why
hasn't Bill Gates fixed this by now.

Paste into good old Paint, save as a .jpg

No matter how you capture the image, the reproduction won't be
equal to the original. If you want friends to see your spiffy
new display they should visit your place. Snapshots are never
spectacular.

in some cases, like it is in a documentary, the snapshot can be like a
well taken photograph... if saved in "lossless" format such as PNG,
then it should be pretty good.
