Even the on-board video on my Gigabyte motherboard supports full 1080P HDTV with audio through an HDMI connector. I don't know if any of the HDMI VGA cards is doing the audio portion so be prepared to use a different audio path just in case. Interesting, thanks. Like the OP, at weekend I visited a friend & tried some HD files from a Sanyo Xacti HD1000 on his pc (Radeon 9800). Files looked ok on his 1280*1024 lcd monitor. Next tried the svideo out from the graphics card to a Samsung 26" lcd tv. Video looked grim, garish contrast, awful. Next found his son's PS3, so copied Sanyo *.MP4 files onto a -RW dvd, & same TV this time looked FAR better, but stuttery. Hard to believe the svideo was so bad in comparison. I'm currently trying to find out what's causing the stuttering, as files in camera viewfinder lcd are just fine. |
