Absolutely - channel numbers on the Sky EPG don't mean anything outside off the Sky EPG system. Just a little more info - Bravo is a Virgin Media Television channel, as is Virgin 1 (obviously) - so VM TV are simply shuffling around their channels so as to get greater exposure for Virgin 1. I'd be interested to know what Sky's position is with regards to channel providers shuffling around their channels in this way on the EPG - given that both Bravo and Virgin 1 fall into the entertainment category, is there anything to stop channel providers doing this at will? After all, Sky do pay VM TV for the carriage of Bravo at the least (though Virgin Media would have you believe it is a much reduced sum compared to what it used to be) - though I dunno if Sky pays VM TV for Virgin 1 (which replaced fTN). |
