SONY XBR4 52 inch. having pixel problems
Before Christmas, I bought a 52 inch. SONY XBR4 LCD HDTV from Best
Buy. Within a week, I found a "stuck pixel" at around center of the screen. I called SONY service and their technician recognized this as a defect due to manufacturing quality testing skip. Anyway, I returned that TV to Best Buy and got another replacement just last week. Today, with the new TV, I found a "dead pixel" and the location is about the same as in the previous TV. Now I am very much disappointed with the quality of SONY's highest priced TV and seriously considering to have this returned and buy either PLASMA or another brand. I heard LG is reputed in LCD TV market but don't know who is better for PLASMA. Could you please suggest, which brand I could go for LCD HDTV or is it better to choose PLASMA to avoid pixel related problem. Definitely, I am no more interested for SONY. Note that, I found all 52 inch. SONY XBR4 are manufactured in Mexico. |

But even if the panels are made in Mexico, the country of manufacturer has nothing to do with a stuck or dead pixel. |
