Philips LCD Software Downloads.. WHERE!???
 
I can not for the life of me find where to downlaod software updates
to my Philips 37" LCD TV Model: 37PF9431D

There is a USB port to do the upgrade the instructions to find the
upgrade are very poor. Step 2 is no help at all. Can any one help
me?


N ew software can be obtained from your dealer or can be downloaded
from the
www. philips. com/ support we b s i t e :
1 Go to www. philips. com/ support using the web browser on your PC.
2 Fo l l ow the procedure to find the information and the software
related to your TV.
3 Select the latest software upgrade file and download it to your PC.
4 Decompress the ZIP-file and copy the file "autorun.upg" to the root
directory of the USB portable
memory.
Note: Only use software upgrades that can be found on the www.
philips. com/ support web site.

That's how you put a URL into your post. Highlight, copy ctrl C and
paste ctrl V into your post. I didn't see any software upgrades for
that model.

After Agent Cs post I looked again and there is an update from
November 2006. Is your TV older than that?

You unzip the file and put it into a USB flash drive and plug that
into the TV. Doesn't sound so bad.
But like a computer BIOS recommends 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it',
what is the TV doing that requires an update?

Suggest checking the updates and associated literature from Philips very
closely. Make absolutely sure the update is for your specific model and the
specific symptoms you may be experiencing. Cheers
