LG 37LF66 Freeview TV and HDD/DVD player

Hi my aunt has just got a LG 37LF66 LCD TV,which has built in
freeview. She is using it with a liteon 740gx hdd/dvd recorder. The
probelm is that I can not get the liteon to pick up any of the
freeview signals from the tv.
Could anybody help, with how I need to conect this up together?

Regards and thanks for any help

Twenty quid freeview box just for the recorder would sort this out, and
allow independant recording while the TV is doing something else.

The 'specification' does not seem to indicate that this TV has a video
output (audio only). If so, the recorder will not be able to pick up any
freeview signals from the TV.

You'll need to buy a freeview receiver (cheap enough at £20), and
connect this so that it feeds video and audio to the recorder. The
recorder then feeds the video and audio to the TV.

Here is a full review
http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/re...37in-LCD-TV/p1

Here is it's tech specs, and the range of connections:
http://www.trustedreviews.com/tvs/re...37in-LCD-TV/p4

There is no way of making the connections you require.
The HDMI and scart sockets are not bi-directional
They are inputs only.
Connect another freeview box to the recorder.

I don't know why you make that assumption. _Both_ Scarts are in/out, see
page 7 of the users manual.

She will be after you if you wanted to have a play but spend someone elses
money! It will not do what you want it to. Get a freeview box.

Scarts can be bi-directional and my TV does output signal (which can be
different to what one is viewing) on one of the Scarts.

OTOH this does not mean your set can do it, especially if the Scart(s)
ais/are set up for RGB.

I looked there before. The model doesn't seem to be listed. I get 'No
Data Found!'. Do a lot of modern TV sets have a video output?
