Thomson DTI6300-16 Programme Library crash
I have bought my mother a Thomson DTI6300 that works fine for a while
and then freezes when trying to access recordings in the programme library. It also states that 0% is free when it is clear from the Help option that 86% is free. This is the second DTI 6300 that has done this. I took the last one back to the retailer and received a replacement but the same problem is occurring again. Unplugging does not fix the problem. Strangely, I have also noticed that there are several messages appearing entitled "Invalid Recording removed" and "Recording failed" for obscure programmes that my mother has never selected for recording. I would ideally like to contact Thomson directly but cannot find any means on the web. Has anyone here either come across this problem or know who I can contact to find out why it is re-occurring? Thomson DTI6300-16 Programme Library crash
This site has everything about the 6300, from "forced update
to reset to fixes and solutions. http://tinyurl.com/3844l5 Check it out, but a quickie being a common cause of failed or removed recording can be the buffer being set a few mins at beginning or end but overlapping a subsequent recording, Example, I have my buffer set to record 3 mins before start and 3 mins after epg scheduled time. But have to disable buffer for such as "Whose line" as if the end buffer overlaps into the start buffer of next recording - failed recording! "stainless" wrote in message ...
