Making Your own "all American"- HD-DVD ;-)

Fan-Boy strikes again;-)

Well I do not know how far You've already got. But Just in case You did
not get very far here is some of my experience:

First I tried to make HD-DVD on an ordinary DVD-/+R. I saw someone who had
had success on a Toshiba A-1 player, but my Tosh E-1 player had just
gotten its firmware upgraded by fool-me!
So it would not play.
But if Your player can play HD-DVD from an ordinary DVD-/+R then consider
this:

Everything is made in Windows XP. You make a fake VIDEO_TS.VOB-file in
"Notepad" by saving an empty document under the name-"VIDEO_TS.VOB"
remember the "goose-eyes". Then You have got an empty VOB file. You make a
Video DVD and places the empty VOB-file in the VIDEO_TS folder. Then You
place Your self-produced HVDDVD_TS folder in the root of the drive.-Burn!
And do not listen to the warnings!;-)

If Your player can play it then you are a lucky guy!;-)
Otherwise the HD-DVD must be burned to a HD-DVD record.

The production is as the following:

By the way if You cannot see the folders on the DVD, then You need an UDF
plug-in.(freeware)

Thanks1

I recon that it plays the files burned right out of the Program? Does
anybody know if the XBOX HD-DVD add on-plays HD-DVD files from a DVD?

I have made a test HD-DVD map if anybody likes to try to burn it. It
consists of 2 absolutely legal files which can be downloaded he
