Promax meter on ebay

Hi,

I lost out on the Promax Prolink 3 meter on ebay :-(
Went for £701.00. My max bid was £550. Still, he didn't get back to
me about my questions about whether it did BER and the battery
condition, so probably a good thing I didn't win it.

Probably for the best if no BER and poor sealed lead acid batteries
which are original type fitted when these meters first came out.

Markyboy don't shell out £550 on a heavy old meter that doesn't do BER!

Get a Unaohm Proteus T40 or something.

Even better spend a bit more and get a Promax TV Explorer. They've just
brought out a widescreen version too. If you're going into it seriously then
it all revolves around your test gear! Don't skimp.

The UK distributor for Unaohm is SCC Distribution 01603 425 400

The Rover FSM looks like a baptism of fire if you're just starting out, and
it's gonna be heavy with the lead acid battery from the look of it. I
wouldn't go for that one personally.
