What's viterbi?
 
On a meter, you can measure BER before and after viterbi. What does
this mean?

Normally you should worry about the pre-correction figure more than the
post-correctiuon figure.

Just out of interest, what kind of pre-viterbi measurement do you consider
acceptable. Or rather, at what point do you suck in air through your teeth
and try to work out how you can improve it.
