Panny DVD still on BST
Hi all,
Neighbour has a Panasonic DMRES 20 DVD recorder. Its around 18 months old and has been through two or three GMT/BST toggles with no problems. Not this time. Time and EPG are still both 1 hour out. Manually reset the clock, but the EPG was still in error Did a factory reset - it came back with clock and EPG still an hour out. She's left it on standby, with clock update set to 'auto' and still no progress. She accepts that if the clock and EPG are both in error she can record things, but that's not the point. Being female she has RTFM - nothing relevant found. Nothing on Panny's website. Any ideas please ? GrahamC |

The PC time is correct and there is no way to set the time on the device or in the EPG. The only way to record what you want is to select the 'wrong' programme in the right time slot and then use the 'edit record' facility to lenthen or shorten the recording....unless anyone knows differently? TIA PS...and 'no' I'm not going to change the time on the PC because the correct timestamp on emails can be a very useful audit trail. Jon |

Tried that - it didn't work. Then found someone else on the web with the same problem. Both his machine and my neighbours have also inherited another effect since the GMT switchover: The DVD recorder has become very sluggish to respond to the remote. Whereas the EPG would appear within a second or two on pressing the button, it now takes almost ten seconds to respond. Something very weird here. GrahamC |
