Think green? When is Al Gore going to give up his jet? So.... worry

I wonder whether the next president (probably a "greenie" at least in
name) will give up that fuel-sucking 747-200. That is the most
arrogant, huge waste of carbon fuels around.

Al Gore supports stupidity. That's because he invented stupidity.

The liberals have that covered too. It's all part of global warming:
supposedly *some* places will cool down. So no matter what happens they
will be right. Clever? Desperate? You decide.

I am still waiting for "The Great Global Freeze of 2000", the one
predicted by the same kind of ecofreaks as we have today. A commie
organization called the "Club of Rome" ballyhooed some computer
predictions back in the 1970 which claimed The Great Freeze. Never
mind that the computer programs were found to be bug-ridden later.

An AGW moron claimed that the reason the Great Global Freeze did not
come is that Global Warming came along.

B.S. Yes they use more power than LCD for the size but not that more.
Much better display tech for movement and viewing angles.

So you personally would prefer plasma over LCD for
general TV viewing?

Even in smaller sizes such as 32" and below?

PLASMA is NOT green. They are power hogs and are destroying the
environment.

Avoid broadcast TV... millions of coal-fired watts just tossed into space to
pollute the environment.

Valvejob, why not just weave yourself a hairshirt and eat berries and nuts?

Buying carbon offsets? That is like Al Gore paying me five hundred
bucks to go to the gym and work out for him. At the end of the
day...he remains a large fat hog....but boy...he sure feels better
about himself.

I am talking about large TVs. I don't think there is a plasma below 40
inches or so.

Samsung, Panasonic, and several others use to offer a 37" plasma as
recently as 2 years ago. Panasonic was the last holdout in the consumer
end last year before they dropped the 37" plasma consumer line.
Panasonic still has a 37" commercial plasma, the TH-37PH10UK, for $1400
list (already down to $900 on-line I see). Many people have used the
Panasonic commercial models as a TV monitor for home use as the
commercial models have swappable component, DVI, HDMI port options.

Actually it's even better.
Gore buys carbon offsets from a company he himself owns.

What a deal!
