Aerial cable in Argos catalogue
 

Have only had a chance to take a quick look at the new catalogue, but this
item caught my eye. Item 4 on page 894 cat 048/2295:

Digital outdoor aerial cable
10m. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor. Approved for digital and
satellite use. Wall mountable.

It's always handy to know that I can mount it on a wall if I desire!!

Can't be bothered to look through a catalogue or refer to the site.
The "wall mountable" probably refers to the outer casing being uV
resistant - but in simple terms for simple people!
uV can cause problems on cheap coax as it makes it brittle and eventually
crack, which allows water in. That's why you see brown coax that has turned
green for example.
The approved for digital use means nothing really. If it is good quality it
will have foil around the inner insulation and a braid that doesn't have
gaps.

If anyone has a very large pot of salt, take a very large pinch for anything
remotely technical about TV in the Argos catalogue ! !

Generally they don't have a clue.

Check out their "digital ready" set top aerials, some of which are about as
much use as a piece of wet string!
