you won't be using one of those CO2 guzzlers.

If they guzzle CO2, maybe I'll get one and become CO2 neutral?

You will need to buy several to absorb the amount of gas produced by

So you'll be watching "The Great Green Smoke Screen", Channel 4, 8pm
tonight - postponed from two weeks ago...

Not on a widescreen TV I hope. If you are serious about cutting your
emissions
you won't be using one of those CO2 guzzlers.

Surely anything which 'guzzled CO2' would be good for the environment?
Like a tree?

But if you actually mean it produces more CO2 - I'd suggest you read the
labels on the back of the various types and see just how much energy they
consume. It's easy to buy a widescreen that uses less energy than a 4:3...

No it is not, not unless you are happy with a screen half the size.
Wide means waste. Wastescreen TV's cannot survive along side global warming.
Thats not a threat it is a promise.

The more CO2 they guzzle the better, I'd have thought.

The writting is on the wall for widescreen. Rejoice!!

Just because the broadcasters are screwing up widescreen data rates
doesn't invalidate the concept.

I wonder if you could you tell my followers to stop killing each
other, please.

With all the hosepipe bans and everything, weren't folks down south
praying for rain last year?
They're never happy!

I think Bill might object to being referred to as a Southerner!

My 45" 16:9 consumes 175 watts. That's about half my 28" 4:3 set - which
has a picture of about 1/4 of the area.

Basically, you're talking ****e.
