It works quite well. Not all allinone have tuners though, nor does the one in the shop. However it does have a PCI t uner card for OTA and satellite input. |

Rich I've had two ATI cards in PCs, and friends have and still have many, without any issues except for drivers when a particular chip series is released. Once the drivers are stable, they are fine. BDK The AIWs are great cards. Anyone that can read, understand and follow the instructions at ati.com/install should love it. Like all software some anomalies exist. MMC was developed to cover different devices and even using 2 devices at the same time so different versions work better for some than others. The biggest problem is that once the install goes bad cleaning is needed. Instructions for this are at the above link too. Questions about the card would probably get better answers in alt.comp.periphs.videocards.ati. |

I'm running an X1950XT under LINUX (Fedora 7 64 bit) and it seems to be working well *although* FEDORA 7 only recognizes it as an ATI card and not the X1950XT. OTOH the 8800GTS 640 in this one was recognized as an 8800GTS. I don't have any problems with it recognizing the older AGP cards. With XP Pro the ATI X1950XT is slightly faster in this machine (Athlon FX62) than the 8800GTS 640. In my Athlon 64 X2 6000 the 8800 GTS is slightly faster. Don't know why the difference. |
