NTL without NTL box?
Hi,
I am trying to connect my digital NTL feed straight into my Bravia 40w2000 TV, which has a digital tuner, with a smartcard reader. I had hoped this would work, but then again I know virtually nothing about digital transmissions. But as you might have guessed, I get no joy from this setup, the tuner detecting no signal. Is it possible to bypass the pace box altogether? Thanks a lot |

Paul DS. Hi Paul, Even if in my case I have a box splitting TV and broadband signals? Is NTL not sending a standard digital signal? How does it work for PVRs then? Thanks for your help |

Cable uses a different method of broadcast and for this you'll need a cable box, either as you mention, the pace or perhaps one of these http://www.cable-tv-junkie.com/ Doc |

And if your tv has the ability to tune the VHF analogue bands you may
get guite a few channels directly on the tv. The TV's analogue tuner should still pick up the analogue channels on the NTL cable. |
