Any Receivers which can adjust lip-sync by output?
I just bought a new Pioneer 1540-HD plasma as well as a Yamaha RV-
V1700 a/v receiver. I've noticed that there can be lip-sync issues between the two...but it varies by which output I'm connecting from receiver to TV. For my Tivo, 75 ms delay works, but for cable, it needs to be set higher, at 120 ms. I can change these manually if need be, but I'm wondering: are there any receivers out there which allow you to permanently set the audio- delay differently for different outputs? I can still return the Yamaha and get something else, if need be. Failing that, are there devices which can be inserted in the mix that will accomplish the same result? Thanks in advance, Rob from AZ |

The models that have this delay settings, stores the value per input. (E.g the models AVR-280x have this feature.) (Other settings, like equalizer and levels have memory per surround mode.) |

Does anyone else out there know of another line besides Denon which does this? I had an AVR-2307 but returned it partly because it seemed so complicated to set up. |

A bit complicated but WORTH IT. Great sound and control at a reasonable price. Only thing missing is 1080p upconversion for all inputs. If you're dead set against Denon, try Sony ES, Yamaha or Onkyo. R / John Thanks...in fact, I'd prefer a Yamaha, but they told me on their support line that none of their units offer more than a "one-size-fits- all" global setting for audio delay. |
