(Quentin Howard told some bare-faced lies when he appeared on Working Lunch in March, saying that DAB+ wouldn't be broadcast). See: http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/ar...-in-the-UK.php He didn't lie. I maintain that he did. The kindest slant you could put on it was that he was extremely and deliberately dishonest. And he has a vested interest in saying what he said. There is a transcript and more details he http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/ar...-on-BBC-TV.php That link also includes some of his other choice quotes from the past. He answered the question. He gave a "reply", but it was not a truthful answer. Read the transcript again and you'll see that he was extremely and deliberately dishonest (or "lying", as I call it). He wasn't there to give a speach but answer viewers questions. It was clear "viewers" where more concerned about the possibility of their box's becoming outdated, not if DVB+ was going to start at some point for additional services. Those who only heard of this "slot" by second hand gossip are being told the BBC spokesman lyed about the possibility of DVB+ broadcasts. The focus was not that at all but on confirming continued DVB broadcasts for the foreseable future. Box's sigh. I thought we'd been through this. Do you have a mental block? This NG isn't owned by you DVB+ supporters who insist their view is right, and expect total 100% support from every other person here. I actually watched the item in question, did any of you accusing him of lying? |
