Reduce Overscan on Sony KP-65WV700?
Although the technology has vastly improved since I got it 2 or 3 years
ago, I generally like my Sony KP-65WV700 rear-projection HDTV. One thing about it I don't like, however, is that it has a lot of overscan. I recently switched from cable to DishNet, and I've noticed that, on full 1080i programming such as the HD News channel (I didn't have it on cable), stuff often gets shaved off the edges, especially top and bottom. I've also noticed stuff getting shaved off on 1080i video I shoot. Do any of you know of any way to reduce the amount of overscan? Is there some sort of adjustment, perhaps somewhere within the bowels of the box? Does somebody perhaps sell and optical correction - an extremely slightly convex lens to mount over the three projectors? -- (Preferably reply to the newsgroup, please. If you reply by Email, I will sincerely try to receive your message, but it will probably get buried in spam.) |
