Channel 5 US - The Blob 21 April
I've got a new Philips HDD DVD recorder that has a freeview tuner
incorporated. On 21 April I used the VideoPlus+ system to record The Blob (SciFi), about 1h 30 minutes. After 57 minutes the picture disappeared completely but sound continued perfectly for the rest of the movie. I didn't realise this until a few weeks later when I viewed the movie. Did anyone watch this movie and know if Channel 5 US had a transmission problem. Geoff Lane |

If it wasn't then perhaps your SCART plug became disconnected at one side of the plug and losing video connection. I've had it before, but I generally use flat ribbon SCART leads now. -- ___________________________________________ |\ /| ark Fraser | \/ | Somerset /www.mfraz.freeserve.co.uk | |__________/Acorn SA RISC PC You know what the sig means! |

Why would a SCART plug affect an integrated tuner? |

It was Channel 5 US but this was an internal recording from the incorporated digital tuner onto the incorporated hard drive. I was more wondering if anyone can recall a break in picture transmission.
