How can I stream video to my TV using the Toshiba HD-A20 HD DVD Player's Ethernet connection?
How can I stream video through a Toshiba HD-A20 HD DVD Player?
The HD-A20 has an Ethernet connection that HD DVD's can use to stream videos. This should mean that one could make an HD DVD that streams a file to the TV. It might even be possible to make a DVD that uses the feature, or there might be an undocumented command the streams from Ethernet. The "Owner's Manual", GX1D00000540, which doesn't seem to be available online, describes how to setup the "Internet Connection Feature", but only as far as configuring the Ethernet connection. All the manual says about use is 1) "Insert the HD DVD disc and close the tray" and 2) "Select an item from the menu." Does anyone have the details of how to setup such streaming? |

As far as I know, the Ethernet connection on Toshiba HD-DVD players is strictly to allow online update of the firmware. |
