1080i ?
 

I have a Comcast digital HDTV box. In my area the HDTV Channels start at 200
and run up until about 240.

How come when I watch a non HDTV digital channel (for example HGTV or TLC)
when I hit display it comes up as 1080i, same as the HDTV Channels?

It obviously is not High Def.

Probably because the cable box has been programmed to convert everything to
1080i.
