Cass.....A word to the wise.......

The Internet and newsgroups have a lot of immature kids, adult hackers, and
other people with bad motives and agendas such as identity theft. I would
seriously suggest you take your real name, phone number, home address, etc.
and replace it with a much less explicit signature. You are just asking for
trouble.....

Your question regarding HD recording did not show up. I am assuming you may
be a newbie.... Please post again and we will be glad to try and help you
out.

It must have been late at night that I posted my address instead of a
question how to record HD signals. It happens even to old dogs like me who
has been using Usenet for many many years and who even wrote books about
Internet.

If you're comfortable fiddling with computers then its really quite
doable.

Many thanks for various solutions in particular the firewire-PC approach.
I am currently using Total Recorder software to record audio streams. What
software would you recommend for streaming video recording?

I would recommend Snapstream Beyond TV. Just make sure to get a
recommended video card that supports the BDA standard. It has a great
guide function as well.

Take it as you will, my name address and phone number have been on the
net since 96 (business) and I always use my name. Unless I know them
I don't trust those who don't use their real names.

You might be right Roger, and I used my real name for a very long time as
well with no problems. I may be overly protective now, but I have heard a
lot of horror stories.
