Sky+ copy
When copying recorded programes from my sky+ box to my pc so that I can burn
them to DVD I use the sky+ "copy" button. But what is the difference in using "copy" as opposed to simply playing the programme: either way my pc captures the material. regards, Paul |

Is it a secret? just your usual usb2 digitiser/grabber/ whatever the word for it is these day. i use a belkin one but i dare say there's loads on the market. having said that, a dvd recorder and then sticking the dvd into the pc is a whole lot easier - if not cheaper. -- Gareth. "Edster" wrote in message ... What about FTA channels? Presumably it just saves the transport stream? What do you see if you put the hard disk in a computer? you can open your sky+ box and pull out the HD if you want - sounds a bit much like hard work to me. -- Gareth. Which always looks cack. For it to look anything like the original broadcast you would need something that captures miniDV, and those are all Firewire. but how do you get mini dv out of your sky box? - other than owning an adapted one. -- Gareth. I use a Canon MVX460 mini-DV camera (with passthrough) so stuff from the TV goes through the camera and is captured by my laptop (using Edius). If you already have a camera with this facility you just need some capture s/w. -- bertieboy |
