Buffalo Tech - LinkTheater DVD Video Problems

I just got the LinkTheater DVD from Buffalo Tech. The specs read like
a dream, but I'm finding that the "NetPlay" is slow and choppy. Has
anyone been able to fix this problem?

I've been using Handbrake (http://handbrake.m0k.org) to rip/backup
DVD's to mpeg-4. The files on average are about 1gb for every 90
minutes of video. I'm curious if the LinkTheater processor just can't
render that much data at one time; although it streams perfectly over
wireless g to my XP and OSX systems.

I have followed the Buffalo Tech directions to keep media folders
clean of too many files. I currently have 1 mpeg-4 movie being
served up by the LinkStation PCast network drive, thought I would keep
is completely simple. I have also tried to host the LinkTheater
software on XP with the same results. To eliminate wireless issues,
I've moved to using the CAT5 connection and still nothing.

I want to believe in this product, nice design, support for 1080p,
music, video, and photo viewing; but sadly it just isn't performing as
advertised. Are there video buffering setting I'm missing somewhere?

Can anyone help before I return this item?

Thanks.
