Free HD Channels?
Interesting; I know the manuals are a particular problem - that's why
the TF5800 got a re-write in this country. Never having used a satellite one, I have no idea about the menus for managing that, but it wouldn't surprise me if, like some of the other exotic bits of the system, the appear to make perfect sense to a Korean :) Your friend may be able to edit satellites with the VEGA program on his PC, though I'm not entirely sure. It's probably worth looking for a more recent firmware on the web site and installing that - I know they did a firmware broadcast recently for some of the satellite boxes, but it tends to be an occassional thing, rather than something that's available 100% of the time. Usually there's a pop-up on the main Korean site when one is going to happen. Tuner 3 is a novel one; on the terrestrial boxes there's a 'pseudo tuner' number 4, which effectively means "choose it yourself automatically" and hides the two tuners from the user in recent firmwares. I don't know how satellite boxes, especially with older firmwares, manage this. As for storing programmes under their file names - if he means the name of the programme, if there's already something called eg "Top Gear" then another recording of that would be called "Top Gear-2" automatically. It's only a problem moving files around if there's already a file with the exact name in the folder you're moving to. And for support, the best people to call are the UK distributors, Turbosat.
