Samsung SlimFit TV a good alternative?

Curious what everyone thinks of Samsungs line of Slim
Fit TVs as opposed to flat LCD HDTV's?

Samsung has a line of Slim fits that include both
standard def as well as high def.

Cost is a BIG issue with me right now and a good 32"
LCD HDTV stills costs abt $1000, right?

I think I could get a slim fit standard def for abt
$400

Advice?

The latest Consumer Report test of HDTV sets gave dismal ratings to all CRT
sets, except Sony.

Samsung has a line of Slim fits that include both
standard def as well as high def.

According to what somebody posted here, they are not Samsung. Supposedly
they no longer manufacture CRT sets. The ones you see are made under
contract by 2nd tier manufacturers.

I have seen the 37 inch Aquos for $998.

Since you have waited this long, wait another 6 mo and you will be able to
get a 32" brand name LCD set for $400.

The Slim Fits by Samsung are crap. They are CRT's, and those just don't
do 1080i. In fact, if you read Samsung's manual & website, they
conspicuously leave OUT that info. Thats cuz they arent 1080i. And
when confronted by people who ask about it, and are ****ed that they
bought something labeled "HD" that's not 1080i, their answer is: "Well,
we never SAID it was 1080i. You should've done your research better."

I wouldn't bother if I were you.
