Too right, how about just using the bandwidth for upgrading the audio to
256k in line the with the BBC services.....or making the video resolution
higher on ITV2/3/4? It's this quantity of channels over the quality of
service that ****es me off with DVB in this country. Australia gets Dolby
Digital audio with their service.....less channels, better quality.

They could put their football out on ITV2+1 (not timeshifted, obviously)
and leave the 2/3/4 channels free for non-sport programmes. More
advertising revenue that way.

How about making ITV2+1 into ITV Sport instead.


Why? Well, their memories are greater than yours...fortunately. Remember
their doomed sport service that nearly bankrupted several clubs in this

Good riddance, but they are still going to broadcast the same old phone
scams on it late at night and this will be an hour after the lines have
closed. How can they justify doing that?



they will probably air 2 separate versions - so they will double up with
twice the crap!
i recall when itv used to show interesting things during the night worth
recording.....

And more to the point, who gives a flying f*ck? Less people will be stiffed,
so my sympathies are with the rest that do....not with those who worked for
this loosely veiled scam that was not far short of a sinister pyramid
scheme.
