What is a tv tuner? what is the different between tv that has a tuner and
the one that does not?

How long can the Plasma last before the burn out effect kick in? Some
people are saying that LCD has the same burn in problem or something that
has to do with the light bolt.

If they both have the same burn in problem what is the different in turn of
difficulty and cost in fixing them?

thanks

A Digital TV with ASTC (Digital Std Def & Hi Def OTA antenna) tuner
is a HD TV.

A digital TV with out an ASTC tuner is a HD Monitor.

An Analog tuner is called a NTSC tuner... All TV's currently have
these.

A Cable TV tuner used to pickup unscrambled digital (both Std Def &
Hi Def)
local channels is called a QAM tuner.

Most of the newer, good HDTVs have 2 NTSC tuners, 1 ASTC tuner, & 1
QAM tuner.
The 2 NTSC tuner allow flexible Analog pic in Picture reception.
