What that article doesn't tell you is that their replacement channels
are going to be in MPEG4!

You can't have read it all, it clearly said the new channels would be mpeg4.

I did read it all, however at the time I read it, it did not contain
the final section headed "Pay-TV battle".

So new boxes and CAMs if you want to get these channels.....

Hmmm , I really don't think they are going to persuade many people to sign
up to this given the easy availability of traditional pay tv services (all
with much more choice)

Yes, the BBC have a sneaky habit of changing news items after they publish
them.

I was hoping that when Top Up TV go bust, we would have an all free service.

There are a few programmes on Sky Three worth watching, so it won't be much
loss.

I can't see it worth paying a subscription for just four channels. And what
if you want the sport but not the movies, or vice versa?

What if you want Top Up TV *and* the new Sky? (Do they do CAMs that will
take two cards?)

It's all very well saying that we have to get a new set-top box, but what
about people who have already spent £200 on a DVR?

Aren't there regulators willing to _plan_ DTT?
